Fundraising Guidance
Fundraising can seem daunting — so much information, so many sheets! With our children’s art fundraisers there’s no need to worry. Follow our simple tips to create the perfect designs and raise the most commission possible.
Creating a masterpiece
Every School Fundraising Company keepsake starts as a child’s drawing on one of our supplied artwork sheets — that’s the heart of what we do. For the boldest, most vibrant prints we ask for full-coverage designs in bright, bold felt-tip pens. On our self-portrait tea towel project, please make sure each child writes their first name clearly somewhere on their picture — without it, mums and dads can’t spot their little one’s masterpiece on the class tea towel! Our youngest artists do beautifully with poster paint, with a grown-up lending a hand for any writing.
All of our keepsakes — from tea towels to Christmas cards — are designed around portrait artwork on the original sheets we send you. Please help the children keep their creations inside the printed black border: anything drawn outside that line won’t make it onto the finished product, so a quick reminder before they start works wonders.
Back at our studio, every sheet runs through a roller-fed scanner, so please leave the sheets flat and unembellished — no glitter, stickers or collage, as they jam the rollers. If your children use paint, watch out for thick ‘paint peaks’ and make sure each sheet is bone dry before you pack them up. Damp sheets stick and tear, and we’d hate for any child’s hard work to be spoiled in transit!

Making the most of your fundraising project
A little effort goes a long way. Here are our top tips for maximising the commission you raise for your school or group.
Stick to the return date
Get as close as possible to the return date for your project — or send it back a bit sooner if you’re super organised. The more time parents have to order, the more commission you make.
Share your code, earn together
Pass your referral code to another school. When their product sales top £300, you’ll both receive a £50 credit on your account.
Get every child involved
The more children who create artwork, the more families who’ll order — so invite every class to take part, not just one or two. Run it as a whole-school art activity and watch your commission total climb with every sheet returned.
Do…
- Get all children to produce artwork, not just 1 or 2 classes
- Complete the artwork as part of a group activity
- Return your completed artwork sheets together and on time
Don't…
- Let your children take the artwork sheets home
- Let your children complete the top section of the artwork sheets themselves
- Let your children produce artwork on anything other than a supplied artwork sheet
